Cotswold Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty
The Cotswolds are an 800 square mile area of South Central England encompassing 6 counties. The area is famous for impressive country “Wool ” Churches built by money derived from the wool from the now rare Cotswold Sheep. Honey-coloured cottages, rolling hills, tranquil streams add to the beauty of this area. There are over 3000 miles of footpaths and 20 named walking long-distance walking routes. The Cotswold Conservation Board take care of this Cotswold Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
